We’re looking to appoint up to five new trustees to help shape the next stage of All Ways Network.
AWN is a national infrastructure charity supporting grassroots non-profits in underserved communities, with particular depth and trust within Muslim communities.
We’ve grown significantly in recent years, and with a staff team, longer-term funding and growing relationships across the charity and funding sectors, this is an important moment to strengthen our Board.
We work with organisations that are often closest to their communities but furthest from funding.
Our support focuses on helping grassroots organisations strengthen their governance, capacity and sustainability, while improving their ability to access funding.
Over the last three years, we have helped charities secure more than £1 million in funding. In the last six months alone, AWN has supported more than 70 charities and submitted 33 funding applications worth £1.4 million.
Our 2025–28 strategy has three priorities:
1. Build the fundable capacity of grassroots non-profits
2. Increase grassroots non-profits’ access to funding
3. Be a trusted adviser and advocate to funders
Increasingly, we want to connect what we learn from supporting grassroots organisations with research, evidence and meaningful engagement with funders.
That next stage of AWN’s development is one of the reasons we are expanding the Board now.
We want to broaden the experience and perspectives around our Board table.
We’re particularly interested in people with experience in:
Funding and philanthropy Trusts, foundations, grantmaking, institutional funding or wider philanthropy.
Charity and civil society leadership Current or former CEOs, directors and senior leaders who understand the realities of leading organisations.
